The bigger the challenges and problems I face, the more motivated I get, which will lead to the further development of my career.

Q1. Tell us about your current job.
I test crushing, filtration, and drying by using various machines.
We have received various requests from customers. In order to meet their requests, we repeatedly test and verify our products.
I learn by trial and error every day and improve our machines.
Q2. Do you have any projects that made you change?
When I conducted a trial run of a machine for the first time on customer’s site, it took more time to finish the trial run and the verification than planned.
I thoroughly discussed with our customers why it happened.
In-house meetings and simulation tests were conducted to verify that. I used a test machine to check the reproducibility and verified the event, and finally found the cause and solved the problem.
This experience helped me gain confidence in my work.
I work hard on everything.
Q3. What is a challenging thing about your job?
What motivates you?
Requests from customers vary, so preliminary investigation, preparation, and testing work are needed to meet customers’ requests.
Every day is exciting. I get more interested in my job and I work hard.
It’s appealing that I feel I have grown with accumulated experiences.
Q4. Tell us what appeals to you in Makino.

We freely express our opinions.

In the first year of joining the company, a customer consulted about whether we could lower the moisture content further to reduce waste disposal costs.
While I was repeating trial and error, the customer solved the problem in a different way.

This is how I strongly feel that not missing the opportunity and fast execution of the jobs are a must.

I would like to be one of the development staff people expects I could do something special when asked.

Q1. Tell us about your current job.
I’ve been working on Technical development leading to next generation products, visualization of crushing, and quantitative evaluation of the filtration state with a filter press.
I’m working every day on quantifying what we have been dependent on , using my intuition and experience that I have gained so far, I offer a more logical and persuasive approach.
Q2. What are the things you think important when you work?
I care about every trivial thing and that I’m skeptical about it.
A very minor state change might have hidden important points that we don’t see in the data as we have advanced development.
I always pay close attention to the state change.
Q3. What are the challenges on your job?
What motivates you?
Since I’m engaged in development, I am fortunate to have opportunities to participate in various academic conferences and research presentations, where I can meet various people regardless of industry, academia and government.
These experiences have widen my perspectives and deepen my knowledge, which is appealing to me.
I felt rewarding when professional knowledge led to the development of new products.
I enjoy local sake and specialties when visiting various regions at academic meetings and presentations.
Q4. Tell us about your future career plan and goals.
I would like to improve my skills so that I could meet the expectations of people inside and outside my company, when special demand is been assigned for me.
If so, I can contribute to increase the value of our company with synergistic effect.
